2022-02-25 : Outage on the infrastructure

We have experienced some issues on one of our main server yesterday, this night and this morning. It’s fixed now.

Here are an incomplete list of services affected by this outage:

  • YunoHost Website
  • Remote Diagnosis system (to detect open port for example)
  • nohost.me noho.st and ynh.fr registration and update (but name resolution is still effective)
  • Debian package and some yunohost package install/update
  • YunoHost image download
  • Some features in yunohost based on ip.yunohost.org

Most of those services are up again, however we are currently searching the reason why we had this outage.

I’ve been having problems with an install all night, I had just assumed it was my really crappy ISP’s fault :rofl:

Most things are working again for me, certainly the auto DNS which is what I was tearing my hair out over is fine.

You mention image downloads… I’ve tried several, most commonly the ARM and 64bit PC ones. I’ve never managed to boot from them.

The other thing that was down and doesn’t seem to have resolved is the Google domain API link and for me, the diagnosis was working most of the time, but only in Chrome :man_shrugging:

SO we think we have identified and fix the issue. Our graph show the instability disappeared.
