Update failed - Debian repositories not found

Greetings,

Went to check for updates today. Looks like the “jessie-updates” part of the url is missing from the repos. There’s “jessie” and several other “xxxx-updates” (eg. “buster-updates”) but no “jessie-updates”. How do I update given that situation?

Snippet of the error here:

FetchFailedException: W:Failed to fetch http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/dists/jessie-updates/contrib/binary-armhf/Packages 404 Not Found [IP: 151.101.120.204 80] ,

Thanks!

Hi

I find it troublesome that you still have some jessie stuff on your setup … Ideally you should be running YunoHost 3.x on Stretch …

(And even weirder is to see stuff related to Buster ?)

Which version of YunoHost are you running ?

The buster stuff was on the Debian site, not related to YunoHost.

Here’s the Versions page:

2.7.14.5 (local)

yunohost-admin
2.7.14 (local)
moulinette
2.7.14 (stable)
ssowat
2.7.14 (local)

Running it on Odroid, Debian 8.11.

I have not migrated to 3.x. Probably won’t have time until summer time…

Thoughts?

Some wiseman once said : “If you don’t schedule maintenance for your server, your server will schedule it for you”

You can wait much more longer if you want, but the more you wait, the more risky it becomes because there will be so many changes at once when you upgrade … Also at some point around June, Debian Buster is supposed to become the new stable (though you can expect 3~6 months for YunoHost to provide migration and stuff). So Jessie will really become prehistoric (some would say it already is) and people will slowly but surely completely drop the support for it (e.g. in YunoHost we still have an old server providing the .deb but would like to plug it off)

I’ll try to get to it when I can. Wasn’t expecting to have to do that big of an upgrade right at this moment. I seem to recall updates working until very recently.

Thanks for the heads up…
