So lets forget all others their issues, since somethings are server specific.

Where was i oh the empty response so yeah.

now I TRY grep -nr ‘HARDDISK’ /boot/

Also empty.

Okey lets try grub-install; fine no issues reported

Fix commands still give issues;

EasyCompZLD, to me the problem looks the same as to the rest of us.
If not, we should start another thread?

Hi,
it looks like I solved my problem by following the instructions from here - [grub related error on 5.5.23 update - Updates/Upgrades - openmediavault](https://forum.openmediavault.org/index.php?thread/37903-grub-related-error-on-5-5-23-update/&postID=265436#post265436)

The only thing that didnt work was to see HDD from `debconf-set-selections` so I hade to list `/dev/disk/by-id$ ls`

Yes, the issue is pretty much the same for all 3 people here …

Can you elaborate on what you did exactly ?

What about running :

```auto
sudo DEBIAN_FRONTEND=text dpkg --configure -a
```

(N.B. @someonesusername you should try this too)

Sure,

1. First I tried to see my old and new HDD

```auto
sudo debconf-show grub-pc | grep -wi install_devices | awk -F: '{print $2}
```

but I only got the old one

```auto
 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-OCZ_VERTEX_PLUS_19JE1KI41W61AY8PEP3Y
```

1. Then I checked the new HDD by listing

```auto
$ cd /dev/disk/by-id/
/dev/disk/by-id$ ls
ata-ST9250315AS_6VC0JAYW
```

1. Then I changed it to the new one

```auto
echo grub-pc grub-pc/install_devices multiselect /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST9250315AS_6VC0JAYW | sudo debconf-set-selections
```

```auto
$ sudo DEBIAN_FRONTEND=text dpkg --configure -a
```

gave just a new line (did this after the above…)

Looks like this worked ! I indeed had to choose where to install grub :

```
Le chargeur d'amorçage GRUB était précédemment installé sur un disque qui n'est plus présent ou dont l'identifiant unique a changé pour une raison ou une autre
```

(installed it on /dev/sda for my configuration), and then grub was reconfigured. I could then update the system with yunohost tools upgrade 🙂
Thanks a lot @tomas for the link you found !

Because it’s my candy and you are taking it from me 🍭 😢.
Like stealing candy from a baby. No actually im easily distracted sometimes, ADHD YuKnow.
So getting answers or messages which are similar but not the same since your drives are not my drives and vice versa. So then some commands differ. I.e. grep -nr “OCZ\_VERTEX\_PLUS”
Yeah thank you for almost messing my server rack…
I actually ran that command then I taught waaaaaait and had to call out the swat team to breach it and force stop it.

Yeah hey, so I that and the terminal pompt became stuk then it what disconnected and idk now hat is happening but the system(VM) and the hosted websites had become really unstable and sometimes even unusable, which then gives me to much delay and thats exactly why I choose for yuno because I was convinced that AIO solution was going to make my life just les stressful. So it seems that the machine is running but:

Indien u niet zeker weet welk station door het BIOS wordt gebruikt als opstartstation, is het vaak een goed idee om GRUB op alle stations te installeren.
