# Synapse won't upgrade - can't collect .conf file for backup

**What app is this about, and its version** : Synapse 1.144.0~ynh1  
**What YunoHost version are you running** : 12.1.39  
**What type of hardware are you using** : VPS bought online

### Describe your issue

I’m trying to upgrade Synapse (from 1.144.0~ynh1 to 1.147.1~ynh1), but it keeps failing.

### Share relevant logs or error messages

Whever I try to upgrade, I get the following error:

```auto
Warning: File or folder ‘/etc/php/8.4/fpm/pool.d/synapse.conf’ to be backed up does not exist
Error: Failed to collect files to backed up for synapse.

```

I looked in the same path for all the different php versions and didn’t see synapse.conf in any of them.

It kind of looks like the Castopod issue here, but I tried the PHP version command with every version of PHP I saw in /etc/php and none seemed to change anything.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Maybe you can just do this upgrade without backup (with the `-b` option), this should solve the issue
