# \[PowerDNS\] Suggestion to include autoritary dns server to self-host the domain

I want to suggest the inclusion of an autoritary DNS server to YunoHost installation.

This would require a good chunk of work, notably in the webUI.

PowerDNS could be used as it has a databases backends, allowing to feed the zone in an automatic way. Additionally, it can do DNSSEC signing.

I want to stress that this thread is meant to start a discussion whether or not this idea is good or not. It’s a proposal to the YH dev’ team.

I am not able to work that out, I just thought that this could be great as an improvement.

What do you think of that ?

A local DNS Zone Manager feature will be great for YunoHost.
