PEERTUBE, Funkwhale etc besoin de plus d'explication

Salut,
Je voulais installer sur mon serveur une instance Peertube et une Funkwhale.
Mes installations plantent donc je vais plus précisément voir la doc(oui bon ça va)
Et là surprise je vois qu’il faut un domaine dédié : Require dedicated domain like peertube.domain.tld .
ma question est donc, dois-je prendre un nom de domaine payant? SI oui uniquement rediriger les DNS?
est-ce que videoMondomaine.nohost.me attaché à mon yunoshost suffit (mon serveur pouvant encaisser le choc) ?

Est ce que j’ai rien capté et une âme charitable peut m’éclairer?

Que le domaine soit payant ou gratuit, un serveur DNS doit rediriger ce domaine vers une ip.

Un sous domaine convient parfaitement, tant que tu n’installe rien d’autre à la même adresse si j’ai bien compris.

Choose your domain wisely. If you want to use these apps for production, you can not change the domain once installed. That means for these federated networks if you choose video.domain.tld and then move to video.domain.tld, it will be not be possible.

You can have free domains but that expire in some time and you eventually have to buy them or at least you have risk of loosing them. If you use free subdomains they are good but don’t provide you with your custom name you wished to have in your real domain and the domains becomes big if the small sub-domains are not available.
So its better to buy a domain if you are looking to install these apps and plan to use long term.

Any domain or sub-domain would work work for peertube and funkwhale. Eg. video.your-domain.tld and music.your-domain.tld would work for peertube and funkwhale.

It’s for me. So the best solution is make a sub-domain with domain name that i bought.
