Hello, normally it should work on all architecture. There are just for ARMv7 a prebuilt package to make the installation quicker. But it’s not necessary.

Please upgrade your server as quickly as possible from the testing branch to fix the security issue. You can use this command to do that:
For install
sudo yunohost app install https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/synapse_ynh/tree/testing
For upgrade
sudo yunohost app upgrade synapse -u https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/synapse_ynh/tree/testing

Awesome app! Thanks for packaging and maintaining! 
In the description it says:
We do not recommend running Riot from the same domain name as your Matrix
homeserver (synapse).
Does that mean it needs to be a completely different domain like domainA.com and B-domian.com or is it secure enough to have different subdomains like synapse.domain.com and riot.domain.com?

It’s really important to update your instance if it’s not already done, because only this new release will compatible with for the federation with the next synapse version (1.0).
