No client can connect to my Nextcloud since the last update [solved, thanks ericg!]

My YunoHost server

Hardware: GateWay GT110i
YunoHost version: YNH 11.2.5
I have access to my server : Through SSH | through the webadmin | direct access via keyboard / screen |
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no

Description of my issue

Since the last nextcloud update in YNH, no client can access anymore. I can access thru a browser but no iOS nor Mac client (any version) can access it anymore…
I already had the same behavior just before the summer and as it was summertime, I didn’t address it: it was resolved with the next update that came in july. Basically the client can’t connect, but most of the time, no error message on the client other than “failed to connect”. On one instance, it replies: “Could not parse the JSON returned from the server: Illegal value”

But now, I need it to work… I’ve tried the ten last versions of the client that I found on github, to no avail. I think it’s due to the last Nextcloud update in YNH.

So, my question is: is there a way to downgrade an app in YNH ? I’m pretty sure if I go back to the previous version, it’ll work.

I tried the command:

tail -n0 -f /home/yunohost.app/nextcloud/data/nextcloud.log

but nothing shows up when I tri to connect. I’ve checked the log and there’s just nothing since the last update… which is quite logical: no client were able to connect since then.

Hi KrrKrr,

Annoying that it stops working every time. Have there been updates between the summer and now where it did not break?

I’m sure you are familiar with the backup mechanism before an app-upgrade. Is that not what you need?

On which version are you now? Do you have non-Apple clients as well?

Hello

I think there were some updates since that, yeah… without any pb.

I know there’e a backup mechanism but I don’t know how to trigger it ?

right now it’s 27.1.2~ynh3

and I got two synology connected on my nextcloud and it seems they didn’t managed to connect since then, too… (and so, they’re not Apple clients)

Can you make sure that Nextcloud as visitors permission ON.

omagad !! You NAILED it.

the api was authorized, but not the nextcloud as an app !! It never occurs to me that it was needed, as I thought the api was enough !! thank you SO MUCH.
