Nextcloud not responding

Yesterday night Nextcloud was working properly.

This morning, it’s screwed up again. It’s not responding at all to any request (android nextcloud application, browser, computer nextcloud client).

I stopped my VM, added one more GB of RAM, in order to reach 6GB of RAM, and then restarted the server.

But, it did not fix anything. While the IO delay is low on my ProxMox server currently.
It seems that once more, I need to uninstall Nextcloud Application, and the reinstall it, in order to make Nextcloud available again…

Does anyone have an idea of why Nextcloud fails, and stop responding ?

Are there some logs in Proxmox node or in nextcloud log ?
Then, are there some errors in /var/log/messages or other system logs ?

I’ll have a look in the logs.

However my latest move seems to be successful.
I changed the subnet of my Yunohost VM, and so changed the physical network card, my VM was bound to.
And I think that the ProxMox physical network card was the real issue.
Indeed, for the moment, everything seems to work fine…

@martoni35 Nothing obvious in /var/log/messages

It’s driving me nuts.

I made many improvements both on proxmox and on yunohost VM.
I was able to upload about 50Go in Nextcloud files for 2 users.
But some computers seem to remain locked, or something like blacklisted.
Those computer will receive only “504 Gateway time. The server didn’t response in time” on firefox, and “Error transferring https://mondomaine.tld/nextcloud/remote.php/webdav/ - server replied: Gateway Time-out” when trying to set up Nextcloud client.

While other yunohost applications are working well and fast…

I really do not know what to do.
Is there something lo lock up some IPs on Nextcloud ?
Should I try to migrate my Yunohost VM on another ProxMox server ? Or reinstall on a physical machine ?

Could you try to connect/upload in Nextcloud with ehernet cable for the client PC ? In wifi, i had the same issue to connect or upload more files…

@martoni35 thank you for your help.

Yesterday, I was able to synchronize files with wired connected laptops, and wifi connected laptop, until it did not work for some laptops.

Yesterday night, I quickly migrated my Yunohost VM to another host, but the situation is worse after the migration.

I think I’ll reinstall my yunohost on a dedicated physical server:

  • Vorke V1
  • 8Go RAM
  • 64GB SSD and 512GB Hard Drive

I’ll keep you posted.

Finally, I found out the issue.

Thank you all (@martoni35, @kanhu) for your help…
