Nextcloud-Deck board and cards write-protected on Android

What app is this about, and its version: Nextcloud v31.0.10
What YunoHost version are you running: 12.1.32.1
What type of hardware are you using: VPS bought online

Describe your issue

After not having used Nextcloud Deck for a while, I wanted to give it a try again. I removed the existing boards and cards and created a board template and a new board by duplicating it. On desktop using web UI, everything looks fine: I can create cards with tasks, move them etc.

My Android phone has a configuration as follows:

  • Nextcloud deck and some other Nextcloud apps installed
  • Sync takes place via Davx5 with my Nextcloud instance
  • Contacts, calendar and tasks are synced
  • tasks are handled with the tasks.org app. Tasks created with the tasks.org app or the Nextcloud tasks web UI are synced perfectly.

The new deck board initially has been synced, but after some days, it appeared write-protected on Davx5. On the Android Deck app, every changed item has the still-to-be-synced icon (a circle with two semicircle arrows), changes on the web UI are not synced.

Steps I took to reproduce the issue:

  1. Ensure the Android Davx5 app is connected to the Nextcloud server
  2. Install Nextcloud Deck app on server
  3. Install Nextcloud Deck app on Android device
  4. Using Nextcloud Deck on web UI, create a new board e.g. “Testboard”
  5. Open the account on the CalDAV tab on the Android Davx5 app
  6. Start synchronisation
  7. The new board (Testboard) is visible
  8. Testboard is write-protected, expected: Testboard is not write-protected
  9. In the Android Deck app, Testboard isn’t visible, which it should

I am prepared to provide further debug info if needed.

Can someone help me how to fix this problem, please?

Screenshot of the Davx5 app on Android. Deck: Erledigen and Deck: Test-Board are the two boards listed as task categories. “schreibgeschützt” means “write-protected”, “Aufgaben” means “tasks”.

Other tasks managed by Nextcloud tasks are not write-protected.

I tried the following:

  1. Logged out in Nextcloud Deck app on Android
  2. Uninstalled Nextcloud Deck app on Android
  3. Deleted all boards of Nextcloud Deck in the web UI
  4. Uninstalled Nextcloud Deck in the web UI
  5. Reinstalled Nextcloud Deck app on android an web, respectively
  6. Created a board and some lists and cards on web
  7. opened Davx5 on Android
  8. synchronized Davx5
  9. Davx5 showed the new board, though write-protected
  10. the Deck app on Android showed the new board
  11. in the Android-Deck app, I could edit everything although Davx5 listed the board as write-protected.

So the Deck app is usable on web and Android again, though I do not understand what is going on. Luckily, I didn’t have hundreds of tasks and cards but only some test data.
