Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no
Is it possible to add 7.4 or update php in order to get this addon working?

that’s exactly my situation
I have (and you likely too) php7.4 (or 8.0) in your system, but I fear to try to change nextcloud config to use it instead of 7.3 and brake it.
It’s more important to me nextcloud than this addon, so I decide to wait untill bulleyes update and automatically get >7.4 version.

You could either manually upgrade to version 23 23.0.7 by ericgaspar · Pull Request #493 · YunoHost-Apps/nextcloud_ynh · GitHub or 24.0.3 by ericgaspar · Pull Request #487 · YunoHost-Apps/nextcloud_ynh · GitHub, currently not merged as the new stable version but probably working flawlessly.
Both upgrade to php 8.0.
If you upgrade to yunohost 11 you can have nextcloud and php 7.4.
That means upgrade to Debian 11 (Bulleyes), just to clarify.
