Need Help: sending Mail from yunohost's webmailer is not working

My YunoHost server

Hardware: VPS bought online
YunoHost version: 11.0.10.2 (stable)
I have access to my server : Through SSH | through the webadmin
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no; fresh clean installation

Description of my issue

I’m trying to send mails via an mail web client, which is also installed via yunohost. I always get an error message which states the mail could not be send at all. On the other hand I can receive mails successfully as well as sending mails via the command line mailer on the server itself.

Here are some more details about the system and the steps I have already tried:

installed Debian 11 on a blank VPS system
Result from “uname -a”:
Linux myHostName 5.10.0-19-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.149-2 (2022-10-21) x86_64 GNU/Linux
installed yunohost successfully by following the installation instructions no error was shown
have done the post installation steps also without an error
YunoHost’s Web-Self-Dignoses say all seems ok
created new user via web admin ui
configured the default domain and disabled xmpp for it
logged into the system via SSH and send an successfully an test mail from command line
installed successfully snapymail (have also tried roundcube)
configured the letsencypt certificate handler for the default domain
logged into snapymail
configured the imap folders: Sent, Archive, Trash and so on
tried to send an email to: self on yunohost as well as to my private mail both times error occurred.

This was the answer in my case. Go to admin panel → Domains, choose desired domain and check if you have ‘use authentication’ checked under SMTP tab

Followed your instruction but did not find the described place. There is no SMTP Tab visible on the failing Domain. (yunohost version 11.0.10.2 (stable))

Got in the meantime a hint from my friend to change a setting in the postifx file mail.cf

The thing I changed after recreate the config, to have a clean one, was just put “permit_mynetworks,” to the beginning of that list.

smtpd_client_restrictions =
    permit_mynetworks,
    permit_sasl_authenticated,
    reject_rbl_client bl.spamcop.net,
    reject_rbl_client cbl.abuseat.org,
    reject_rbl_client zen.spamhaus.org,

Since them all mailing is working.

Are there any concerns about that change, would you advice to revert them?

Regarding your concerns about config: TBH I don’t know I’m not an expert in that matter but I also found your solution while searching the web.
