The nextcloud app has a Pull Request (not merged yet) done by @ericg that is v2 and that automates the change of database from Mariadb to PostreSQL, using the migration command line tool included in Nextcloud server. It should be doable although not easy.
However, my question was more about : can I install or will it break my instance ?

I would say that YunoHost has a very good backup and restore system, so try it and report back. 😅

Hi, I’m a bit confused about the state of that app ?
What is the recommendation ? Is the app assuming I have to perform a manual migration to PostgreSQL before I can benefit from the latest updates ?

Having installed n8n app recently I also have this message when updating. I have checked the conf file ( /var/www/n8n/.env ) and acknowledged that I am already using PostgreSQL…
Maybe this should be checked before the alert is displayed, or the text could be clarified.

### **Action required: update to the latest patch version of n8n**
We recently informed you about upcoming patches and security advisories for high- or critical-severity security vulnerabilities in n8n.
These vulnerabilities have been fixed in the following n8n versions:
- **1.x:** Versions **\< 1.123.33** are patched in **1.123.33**
- **Stable:** Versions **\>= 2.0.0 \< 2.17.4** are patched in **2.17.5**
- **Beta:** Versions **\>= 2.18.0 \< 2.18.1** are patched in **2.18.1**
