I see. I thought that since a while it was decided to abandon using root account for security purpose, hence it seems I forgot its password.
I’m restoring backup, and then as it restores my sudoers permission, I’ve just changed the root password following that post. And then, relaunching update and will be back when I’m again at the blocking php7.3 issue to share journal
