Metronome: enabling user registration

My YunoHost server

Hardware:Raspberry Pi 3 at home
YunoHost version: 3.8.5.8
I have access to my server : Through SSH and through the webadmin
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no

Description of my issue

Hello,
I am trying to setup metronome for user registration, but I can’t seem to make it work: I enabled user registration in the configuration file via the option “allow_registration=true”, but when I try to create a new account with my client (Gajim on Manjaro Linux) I get the error “Failed to write data to disk”.

I checked metronome’s folders permissions and they seem correct.
The rest of the configuration file is the default one.

I contacted the Metronome support team and they said I have to stop using the ldap auth backend to make it work, but this would break Yunohost’s user management.

Could you help me?
Many thanks.

I doubt it’s supported in the context of yunohost, that would require heavy tinkering …
