Description of my issue

Hello. I upgrade Galene to the most recent update. When starting Galene, none of the groups are accessible from home page. Each link says: The link error is:

Page not found!

We can’t find the page you’re looking for.

The only way to a group is full path:

Can you check what’s in the group folder?

Sounds like a permission issue, as these file probably should be owned by Galene

Can you tell what procedure you used to create these groups such that we can update it ?

Here is the list of the changes to latest Galene update:

11 January 2023: Galene 0.6.2

  • Disable simulcast for screensharing; this didn’t work well with many
  • Fix parsing of VP8 packets with degenerate headers.
  • Fix computation of group URL when running in insecure mode.
  • Add configuration option “proxyURL”, which makes it easier to run
    Galene behind a reverse proxy.
  • Disable ulimit checking on BSD systems, where our code doesn’t compile.

This could be the trouble:

  • Fix computation of group URL when running in insecure mode.

what version of Galene did you update from?

0.6.1 to 0.6.2

Hey everyone! I fixed my Galene!!! Turns out I found two .json files, config.json and public.json where because the password was not in the file for users identified caused a syntax error about not being able to find (}). Googling this revealed that this is not really the error but something else. Putting the password into these files fixed the syntax. Yea!
