Friendica package for Yunohost is updated to version 2020.03

This is great. Thank you for your work on this!

Hi there,
I’m kind of surprised reading about good latest new Hubzilla releases in this thread, because in the package list it is taged as low quality !

Could you let me in on what you guys think is the actual state, why’s that official rating so?

Well indeed. … Turns out app is level 4 because linter fails, because of a typo here :

So here’s a fix :

Great  !

Looking at Friendica, it is also really suprisingly up-to-date for an app that’s listed as unmaintained.

That’s fabulous. Thanks you!

I’d like to kindly request that the Friendica package be updated to v2020.07-1 (currently on v2020.03). Friendica recently released a v2020.07-1 hotfix release that fixes a security issue, so this feels somewhat pressing.

Thank you!

That hotfix post sounds indeed really scary:

Through the admin module environment variables of the server system can be read by anyone on the internet. Among other things this may include database passwords for Docker installs and the memcached SASL password.

In this case, Friendica actually should be totally removed from Yunohost, maybe one should remove all unmaintained apps and notify its users?

Should we drop Ldap support for Friendica in future releases? Issue https://github.com/friendica/friendica/issues/4140#issuecomment-731579013
  • Yes, upgrading to latest version is better ,rather then waiting for the Ldap to be fixed.Users will have to reset password through forgotten password option, implies for existing active instances.
  • No, wait for the Ldap to be fixed.
  • Neutral, as long I can use and test the app, I am ok with everything.

Hello,
I’ve installed the latest version of hubzilla.
I can load the login page but can’t go further. When I put my login and password and clic ok, it just goes to login page.
Can you help me figure out what’s wrong? thanks
