Its on a EPIC processor so AMD64 I just updated to the latest stable version YunoHost 4.1.8 (stable).

We use .htaccess for a lot of wp plugins. We do not relay on the LDAP stuff which comes with wp for yunohost since it conflicts with our cliënt-pages.

It is still unclear what these files are supposed to do: URL rewriting, access restriction? I will give a blanket answer: you need to convert the instructions from the .htaccess files into the NGINX configuration file. (and beware, it may get overridden during wordpress upgrades)
