How to move to a new domain?

My YunoHost server

Hardware: VPS bought online
YunoHost version: 4.3.6.3 (stable)
I have access to my server : Through SSH & through the webadmin
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no

Description of my issue

I run my YNH instance already for many years on my own domain. The domain is tightly connected to my name. And now I want to open up my instance to more users. Therefor I purchased a more neutral domain so everyone can feel welcome.

What would be the best way to change all the urls of my apps and my YNH to the new domain?

Extra information:

I run 6 apps on my instance:

  • Nextcloud
  • HedgeDoc
  • Miniflux
  • Wallabag
  • Searx
  • Unattended-upgrades

And I would like to start hosting Mastodon.

  1. Register your new domain, set its DNS records
  2. Use the “change url” function displayed within each app’s menu in the webadmin:

Not all app implements this script, but you are in luck:

whoa, that easy huh? I could have figured this out myself, but couldn’t imagine it to be that simple

thnx @tituspijean as always!

one more q;

can this also be done for the main domain? In such a way that all associated mailadresses/logins are also updated?
