# How to force old ecko install to upgrade to recent Mastodon version?

**What type of hardware are you using** : VPS bought online  
**What YunoHost version are you running** : 11.3.0.2  
**What app is this about** : Ecko

### Describe your issue

We are still running and old fork of Mastodon called Ecko (v2022.11.15~ynh1), which is stuck at Mastodon v3.4. Can this installation be forced to upgrade to the most recent Mastodon branch? How could it be done?
