Ghost - cant sign up new members [BETA BUG]

My YunoHost server

Hardware: Linode 2CPU 4GB RAM
YunoHost version: 4.3.2.2 (stable).
I have access to my server : Through SSH & through the webadmin
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no

Description of my issue

As a visitor to the website, I can’t sign up as a FREE member. What exactly do I mean. Well, in either methods, when I would finish putting in my email & name. it says, check your email for a sign up link…

I never get the email. I restarted three times, and even updated my DNS configs just in case.
I even check the “members” section for a new member under the Ghost Admin page and there are no new sign ups.

What were my failed methods of solutions?
Well my server can send emails, bulk that is. If I do a password reset, I get the link immediately. I rolled back a couple of updates. Still nothing. I tried testing it out in different themes. I did a SSH update to both root server and Yunohost. No luck

MAYBE its the membership tier
So, there’s a beta feature called “member ship tiers”. For some reason I can’t disable it now. Perhaps this is causing the issue? But I cant disable any more.

Any thoughts?

Was that failing too? Was it working in previous versions?

I never get the email.

Can you start this command in CLI tail -f /var/log/mail.log and trigger the email again? Let’s see if there’s an error occuring at that moment.

Is it grayed out in the interface, or something like that? Maybe check Ghost’s documentation regarding that.

Forgive me for getting back to you so late. Much work to do in such little time. The issue is a Ghost one.

When setting up a real live paid account. it works. New PAID MEMBERS get an email. It seems to my demise that the “Membership Tier Beta” is responsible for this. There is a disconnect between free members and the membership setup. How interesting.

On Ghost forum, there was a claim to address this issue 17 days ago.
