# Galene 0.9 in feature freeze

Hello,

The next version of Galene, Galene-0.9, is now in feature freeze, and therefore this is the right time to test. @ericg, there are three things you need to be aware of:

- the format of `config.json` has changed, instead of the `admin` field you should populate the `users` field;
- the field `allow-anonymous` is no longer supported (it’s the default behaviour);
- you need to make sure that you upgrade `galene-ldap` at the same time as you upgrade Galene, otherwise users who login over LDAP won’t have chat permissions.

The big change is that there is now an HTTP administrative API, which you may want to use in preference to editing configuration files on disk. It’s up to you, though, the old way is still supported.
