[CVE-2026-43284 "Dirty Frag"] Upgrade your system packages

So, after all this time, I’m still not sure if I’ve got this fixed or not. My uname -a returns:

“Linux $MYDOMAIN 6.1.0-49-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.174-1 (2026-05
-26) x86_64 GNU/Linux”

My understanding is that for version 6.1, Dirty Frag was first patched for version 6.1.172.

So, is the version of the kernel it’s using 6.1.0-49-amd64 (which isn’t patched for Dirty Frag), or is it 6.1.174-1 (which is patched…)?

Uname -r gives 6.1.0-49-amd64 which makes me suspect I’m still on the older, insecure kernel. Neither apt dist-upgrade or yunohost tools update system are upgrading to a more recent, secure kernel though. My VPS provider says they just use the kernel in /boot, but that’s still just 6.1.0-49-amd64.
