Apps in YNH can't send mail

Hardware: VPS bought online (vultr.com), debian 9.
YunoHost version: 3.6.5.3 (stable).
I have access to my server : Through SSH & through the webadmin
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no

Description of my issue

Apps are unable to send email.

I installed both Mattermost and Wordpress in my freshly installed YNH.
Neither of them are able to send out emails.
For mattermost these should be invitation emails for new users.
In Wordpress I also made a new user and invited asked WP to send the login details to the new user

Can you elaborate on why / how you conclude that. Does the app show an error message ? Is there no error message but you expect to receive an email and never do ?

Also did you take care of configuring properly the DNS records related to email ? Did you test your score on mail-tester.com ?

@Aleks it turned out that my webshoster was blocking port 25. Now fixed and all is working.
