My YunoHost server:

Hardware: VPS Netcup
YunoHost version: 4.3.4.1
I have access to my server : Through SSH
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ?: no

Description of my issue/question:
How can I allow registration via an XMPP client (e.g. Gajim)? Currently I cannot register an XMPP account via a client such as Gajim as this is not allowed.
I suspect that this is a setting in a config file?
What do I have to configure where to make this possible?

You don’t have to.
You can simply use a yunohost account as a xmpp account.

If you want to open your XMPP server to registration to the public, you need to change some config file of metronome (the xmpp server in yunohost).
